Summer Sunset Shoot

With the temps way to high for being outside too long, I have been waiting until the golden hour to shoot a few personal projects.  I label myself an adventure photographer always keen to go to new places and find the largest water fall or hardest route.  I would be selling myself short as a photographer if I did not branch out a bit and shoot different types of photos with as many different people as possible.

On the last shoot my buddy Mike, whom is an avid rider and his wife, a Zumba instructor, went out to an open area close to where we live with a great view of the mountains and setting sun.  We showed up at 1715 with just enough time to setup lights and take a few test shots.  Once everything was dialed in, we shot as long as we could capturing several shots that both Mike and Stephanie liked.  The sky was filled with interesting clouds that when over powered gave off a very nice saturated look that I really think adds to the photos.

My wife was with us helping to wrangle some kiddos while I tried to focus.  I snapped a few fun shots of her too.   Here are some of my favorites and I hope you like them as well.
