Woods and Noguchi Win TNFC 2013
A quick update before I head out to climb and shoot more with Daniel Woods and the Japanese crew. We are going to climbing and shooting for the next week on the Izu at Jogasaki and Shiobara.
Daniel and Akiyo Noguchi both placed first in their gender brackets. Jain Kim of Korea came in a close 2nd after an additional problem was both send and the judges had to “count back” to semi finals for a final decision. Since Akiyo finished Semis with more points she placed first overall in this years North Face Cup. Ray Sugimoto battled it out with Daniel to the end. Ray was able to send the second to last problem that involved finalist dynoing to a sloper and triangle feature then campusing sloper crimps. Ray finished three moves farther than Daniel on that problem. Daniel flashed the final problem while Ray was not able to finish which gave Daniel the victory.
